• Dr Simone Ottonello is the local supervisor of the project. He is a professor at the University of Parma.
• Dr Alessandra Zambonelli wrote the character list and contributed to the taxa description, providing also most of the images. She is a researcher at the University of Bologna.
• Dr Riccardo Percudani came up with the idea of building TuberKey. He is a PhD student at the Istituto di Scienze Biochimiche, University of Parma.
• Dr Claudio Rivetti programmed TuberKey. He is a researcher at the University of Parma and was supported by a one year post doctoral fellowship by the CNR  "Tuber: Biotecnologia della Micorizzazione".
