Ascocarp subglobose or lobed, orifice or cavity absent, 3-8(-12) cm in diameter, white (whitish) or yellow (yellowish-brown) or ochre or brown, smooth, peridium glabrous, color of spore-bearing tissue white or yellow (cream) or brown, veins narrow and numerous (meandering). Peridium 150-200 micron, hyaline (yellowish) or yellow-brown, anatomical structure pseudoparenchimatic with roundish cells, cell tangential dimension 15-30 micron, cell radial dimension 10-20 micron, color hyaline, anatomical structure plectenchymatic, cell tangential dimension 6-9 micron, external cystidia absent.
Asci ans spores Morphology. Asci sacata, major axis 130-200 micron, minor axis 60-70 micron, number of spores per ascus 8, irregularly clustered, iodine reaction yellow (not stained).
Spores globose, major axis 16-20 micrometer lenght, minor axis 16-20 micrometer lenght, color yellow or pale brown, spines (a tubo); ornamentation length 3-6 micron (2 -4 micron diameter at the base).
Distribution. Habitat temperate; Putative plant host Quercus, or Tilia, or Fagus.
